How do I access my Hosting Control Panel for my web hosting account?

To access a Hosting Control Panel, you will need to login to the Webanet Members Area. Once logged in, you will see a list box containing all the domain names for your web hosting accounts.

Simply select an account from the list and click the 'configure >>' button. A statistics page for that account will be displayed and you can click the 'Launch Hosting Control Panel' button.

For security reasons you will be required to login to the HCP using the username and password for that account (displayed on the statistics page).

The Hosting Control Panel allows me to create autoresponders. What are they?

An autoresponder is a program that you can set up to automatically reply to email sent to a specific address. Examples of why you might want an autoresponder follow.

  • To inform people who email you that you have received their message. (sales@domain.dom = Thank you for contacting our sales department. Someone will answer your query shortly.)
  • To inform people that you are on holiday and might not respond to email until you return. (person@domain.dom = Hello, I am currently enjoying a holiday away. I will return on Friday.)
  • To automatically send frequently asked information such as product information or factsheets. (product@domain.dom = Thank you for your interest in our product! Here are the specifications.)

Note: Attachments will not be sent through the autoresponder.

Note: To prevent mail loops, autoresponders remember the last 5 email addresses that sent email to them and after the first autoresponse they won't send another to those addresses for up to an hour later or until the next email moves the first address out of the queue.

I have lost my password to the HCP, how can I get a new one?

If a password has been forgotten, lost or compromised it can be reset. Simply send an email to support@webanet.co.uk and include the following information.

  • Your full name
  • Your domain name
  • The last invoice number you received from us

After we have received your email and the information has been checked we will then send you the new password.

How do I alter the username of my account?

Due to the way our system works, you can only alter the password, not the username for your account.

Can I get logs / stats from previous months?

We retain log details for the current month and the previous month. You can use your analog stats page domain.name/cgi-bin/logs/analog to view these.
