What is the Hosting Control Panel?
The Hosting Control Panel (HCP) allows you to configure your web hosting account. You can add, update and delete POP3 mailboxes. Add new e-mail forwarding instructions, check your website statistics, install new CGI scripts onto your hosting account and also secure your directories using password protection.
Where will my site be hosted?
Your web hosting account will be hosted within a state of the art Data Centre based in Nottingham. This Data Centre hosts more shared, dedicated and co-located servers than any other host provider in Europe. Please visit the Technical Information section for more information.
What do you mean by 'transfer the domain to our servers'?
If your domain name is already registered we no longer 'literally' transfer the domain name to our servers anymore. Instead we ask you to contact the registrar of your domain name to change the nameservers for the domain name so it can become associated with your hosting account on our servers.
You will continue to be billed for the domain name by your current registrar in the usual way.
What happens if I use more than the alloted bandwidth in a month'?
If your hosting account uses more than its alloted bandwidth in any given month we will charge you at the rate of 10p for each additional MB of bandwidth used. You will be billed for extra bandwidth usage on a quarterly basis.
